Springfield Raceway will expand upon its classes of race cars for the 2012 season with the addition of the Young Lions division for the Legend Cars.  Young Lions will feature beginner racers from the ages of 12-16 and give them a chance to race a full powered car on a regular sized track.  It seemed there was a void for kids coming out of karting to make the transition to a bigger car and track.  Missouri Legends will continue to keep the fans thrilled with their 3-4 wide racing as Dave Comer and the boys will be paving the way for the Lions.

Again this season the featured division will the USRA Sanctioned A-Modifieds where Jackie Dalton will be defending his championship.  The B-Mod division which has grown over the years with the addition of the GM Crate Engine option will be back for 2012.  Pure Stocks and Street Stocks will give the fans a full bodies racing excitement.  Midwest Modz will return for their 3rd season, which began in 2010 with only 4 cars and has grown into a 20+ cars on a weekly basis.
